Star Convictions

Scottie Pippen, DUI, gun in car. Not guilty.
Steve McNair, DUI, gun in car. Not guilty.
Michael Vick, federal indictment for dog fitting among other things. Verdict?
I'd like to hear what Tony Taylor, one of the three others indicted with Vick, has to say when he meets with the prosecutors on Monday. You just had to know that one of his "homies" was going to turn over evidence and testimony to keep his ass out of the slammer. Why didn't Vick's lawyers have him do the same? Maybe because Vick was the head honcho of the whole operation? Maybe he wasn't the head honcho, but you know he provided the funding for everything. Think about it. If you're friends of a star athlete, living in one of the star athlete's homes, do you have a full time job (other than dog fighting) to support yourself? More than likely you've got nothing. You've got nothing to lose but time in jail. And if you can avoid that time in jail, wouldn't you do everything you could to stay in the free world? Ding, ding, ding, plea bargain!
Even though Pippen and McNair got off their cases (among many others), I still don't think Michael Vick is going to get off his. Poster boy to prison bitch in six months tops.
As an after thought, how do you think professional athletes get treated in prison? Paris Hilton got her own cell, but that wasn't from a federal indictment. Hmmm...
