Stan West (Stanley B. West) was born on September 22, 1926 in Weatherford, Oklahoma. After going to high school at Enid (OK), West attended the University of Oklahoma. West made his professional debut in the NFL in 1950 with the Los Angeles Rams. He played for the Los Angeles Rams, Chicago Cardinals and New York Giants over the course of his 8 year career.

Most people believe that 1953 was Stan West's best year.
