Born on July 11, 1949 in Rumford, Maine, Stan Thomas (Stanley Brown Thomas) played for the Texas Rangers, Cleveland Indians, Seattle Mariners and New York Yankees over the course of his 4 year career. Thomas broke into the bigs on July 5, 1974 with the Texas Rangers, and put up a 3.10 ERA in 81.1 innings pitched in 1975, his rookie year.
Most people believe that Stan Thomas's best season was 1976, when he posted a 2.30 ERA and struck out 54 batters.
