Stan Rome (Stanford B. Rome) was born on June 4, 1956 in Valdosta, Georgia. After going to high school at Valdosta (GA), Rome attended Clemson University. Rome made his professional debut in the NFL in 1979 with the Kansas City Chiefs. He played for the Kansas City Chiefs for his entire 4 year career.

Most people believe that 1981 was Stan Rome's best year.
