Stan Hollmig (Stanley Ernest Hollmig) was born on January 2, 1926 in Fredericksburg, Texas. He made his Major League debut on April 19, 1949 for the Philadelphia Phillies. In 1949, his rookie year, he hit .255 with 2 home runs and 26 RBI. Hollmig played for the Philadelphia Phillies for his entire 2 year career.
