Stan Fanning (Stanley Fanning) was born on November 22, 1937 in Peoria, Illinois. After going to high school at Pullman (WA), Fanning attended the University of Idaho. Fanning made his professional debut in the NFL in 1960 with the Chicago Bears. He played in the NFL for 4 years, playing for the Chicago Bears and Los Angeles Rams over the course of his 4 year NFL career.Fanning also played in the AFL for 1 year, playing for the Houston Oilers the entire time.

Most people believe that 1960 was Stan Fanning's best year.
