Stan Andersen (Stanley Andersen) was born on September 14, 1917 in Portland, Oregon. After going to high school at Kingsburg (CA), Andersen attended Stanford University. Andersen made his professional debut in the NFL in 1940 with the Cleveland Rams. He played for the Detroit Lions and Cleveland Rams over the course of his 2 year career.

Most people believe that 1941 was Stan Andersen's best year.
