Spurrier’s Not Amused by His Own Admissions!

Remember those good ole days back in high school…Chasing the girls all around campus? Isn’t that why we went to school anyway? When we would pull out all the stops just to impress…And then once we had her we were content. That is until days before prom she dumps our ass, saying "she wants to see other people." All that planning out the window…And that visor we love to sport on top of our dome, well we just set a discus record with it! Ladies and gentlemen, I give you a peek into Steve Spurrier’s world in Columbia, South Carolina. Love them hhhhigh schoolers, but them admission rascals, well they’re a bunch of COCKS!
The ole ball coach had to apologize to two recruits who signed with the Gamecocks last winter and were denied academic entry this summer…Although they were cleared by the NCAA to enroll, "In my opinion, I still believe we made a mistake in doing this," Spurrier said Sunday. Okay, let’s do the seasonal math here…Signed last winter, but denied in the summer. Um, what the hell were the admissions people doing in the spring? Trying to walk on the elbows with their thumbs stuck up their ass? We all know admissions are a bunch of mysterious squirrels anyhow, but isn’t going to further ones education suppose to further help one, not hinder one…Such as in this case?
"Hopefully, I truly believe this is the last year this is going to happen, because I can't operate like that," Spurrier said. "I can't operate misleading young men." Now we all fully know that making fun of "Shiney Pants", well, it’s just not a college football season without doing it! Although in this instance, Double S is absolutely right. It’s like heading down to the local strip club and having "Kitty" and her friend "Kat" get the blood flowing like the Hoover Dam and then all of a sudden the lights come on and they scurry into the back faster than, well, two cats. And you’re still sitting there looking like a dumbass!
He said his credibility took a hit with coaches, players and families who knew Bowman and Smith, two members of a recruiting class that most analysts had ranked among the 10 best in the country. "For our credibility, mine and the coaching staff, I just want the high school coaches, the parents of players and all of them to know that's not going to happen here if I continue to be the coach," Spurrier said. Although what’s he more burgerflicked over, his reputation being smeared or the fact that he found out his Top 10 recruiting class just took a major hit? Because if I recall, his rep was smeared all over the NFL becoming the Lindsay Lohan of the league!
Spurrier signed a contract extension, which included a raise of nearly a half-million dollars, that ties him to South Carolina through 2012. However, he said if things didn't change on admissions "then I have to go somewhere else, because I can't tell the young man that he's coming to school here," then not have him admitted. So is this a bluff? Should South Carolina call him on it? Either way, I don’t think the university wants in any capacity to piss off the ole ball coach! Ever since Double SS Shiney Pants arrived in Columbia, he has made COCKS Football matter! Outside the realm of football on the USC campus, he has had influence on other university policies. Before his first season, South Carolina's athletic department changed its drug testing stance from "two strikes and you’re out" to where it would take a fourth positive test for dismissal from school.
Funny, for an institution who’s known as the COCKS…Who really knew that the University of South Carolina had such pristine high academic standards? Even higher than the NCAA’s… Sure did pull the wool over my eyes! University spokesman Russ McKinney said the goal would be to let all South Carolina coaches know as early as possible whether a prospect would meet the university's admission standards. Yeah, that might be a wise decision to do considering the fact that the mastermind of the "Cock & Fire", is well just a little steamed presently. And just a suggestion, president Andrew Sorensen, you might want to think about changing things Code Blue before the ole ball coach changes them for you by leaving Columbia. You’re down to your last strike, don’t go down looking!
