News broke today that Pittsburgh RB
Najeh Davenport has been charged with domestic violence, endangering his children, and unlawful restraint. Cleveland police received 3 9-1-1 phone calls from Davenport's house (which is apparently at 1374 E. 115 Street, if you'd like to visit) between 8:45pm and 9:02pm tonight. The incident was apparently a dispute between Dookie and his baby's mama, Anita Person, over a custody issue. Davenport could face over 2 years in jail if convicted. He is being given time to turn himself in.
The Steelers are on a bye in Week 6 anyway.
Meanwhile, over in Minneapolis...
Viking DE Erasmus James and RB Chester Taylor got into a fight. Apparently James punched Taylor, leaving him with a shiner. Taylor countered by throwing a chair at James, who has been added to the injury report with a shoulder injury.
Brad Childress called a team meeting afterwards.
