Since this has gone on a bit, and since I enjoy sports trivia, probably more than most, I figured I would come up with a series myself, with this being the first installment. So that said, here we go:
Question 1: Who am I? I played seven years in the major leagues and my batting average dropped every season, from .321 in my rookie year to .128 at the end. I am not a pitcher.
Answer: Dave Stapleton of the Boston Red Sox
Question 2: Who am I? I am the only pitcher to win a batting title.
Answer: Guy Hecker, who hit .342 in 1886 for Louisville in the American Association. (answered by Jut, or was it his dad? lol)

Question 10: What team are we? In the same season, we boasted a team average of .315, had 8 .300 hitters, a major league record ERA of 6.71, our defense committed 239 errors, and we finished 40 games out of first. Hint: This was before 1950.
Answer: 1930 Philadelphia Phillies (answered by Jut)

Question 13: Who is the one of four major leaguers in modern history to steal five bases in a game? For a bonus, who stole six in a game to set the modern day record?
Answer: Rickey Henderson is one of the four to steal five bags in a game. (thanks to MJD for finding that, it was missed in my first sweep, hence the rewrite)
So there you have it, a first installment of trivia. Feel free to answer and I will keep track of who answers the most correct as we go along.
