Spider Jorgensen (John Donald Jorgensen) was born on November 3, 1919 in Folsom, California. He made his Major League debut on April 15, 1947 for the Brooklyn Dodgers. In 1947, his rookie year, he hit .274 with 5 home runs and 67 RBI. Jorgensen played for the Brooklyn Dodgers and New York Giants over the course of his 5 year career.

Most people believe that Spider Jorgensen's best season was 1947, when he knocked in 67 runs.
