Spencer Pope (Spencer Gordon Pope) was born on March 9, 1893 in Linton, Indiana. After going to high school at Linton (IN), Pope attended Indiana University. Pope made his professional debut in the APFA in 1920 with the Muncie Flyers. He played for the Muncie Flyers for his entire 1 year career.
