Spencer Adams (Spencer Dewey Adams) was born on June 21, 1898 in Layton, Utah. He made his Major League debut on May 8, 1923 for the Pittsburgh Pirates. In 1927, his rookie year, he hit .266 with 0 home runs and 29 RBI. Adams played for the Pittsburgh Pirates, Washington Senators, New York Yankees and St. Louis Browns over the course of his 4 year career.
