Specs Toporcer (George Toporcer) was born on February 9, 1899 in New York, New York. He made his Major League debut on April 13, 1921 for the St. Louis Cardinals. In 1922, his rookie year, he hit .324 with 3 home runs and 36 RBI. Toporcer played for the St. Louis Cardinals for his entire 8 year career.

Most people believe that Specs Toporcer's best season was 1922, when he hit for a .324 average.
