Born on December 13, 1887 in Los Angeles, California, Spec Harkness (Frederick Harvey Harkness) played for the Cleveland Naps for his entire 2 year career. Harkness broke into the bigs on June 13, 1910 with the Cleveland Naps, and put up a 3.04 ERA in 136.1 innings pitched in 1910, his rookie year.
