Was Jeffrey Maier drafted? i remember reading a while ago that he had a 50/50 chance of being drafted..

I read he was drafted, by the Yankees no less. Grizzly Adams does have a beard.

How come the MLB draft takes place in the middle of the season, not at the end of the season like the NHL, NBA, and NFL?

It's based on when the college season ends.

First of all - an "I told you so" article? That should be beneath even you, MetJets. Secondly, I wasn't guaranteeing that he'd get drafted right out of high school. I just meant he'd be drafted at some point. He'll go to college, and see what happens then.
