Born on January 14, 1937 in St. Mary, Missouri, Sonny Siebert (Wilfred Charles Siebert) played for the Cleveland Indians, Boston Red Sox, Texas Rangers, St. Louis Cardinals, San Diego Padres and Oakland Athletics over the course of his 12 year career. Siebert broke into the bigs on April 26, 1964 with the Cleveland Indians, and put up a 3.23 ERA in 156 innings pitched in 1964, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Sonny Siebert's best season was 1965, when he posted a 2.43 ERA, won 16 games and struck out 191 batters.
