Sonny Randle (Ulmo Shannon Randle) was born on January 6, 1936 in Cohasset, Virginia. After going to high school at Military Academy (Fork Union, VA), Randle attended the University of Virginia. Randle made his professional debut in the NFL in 1959 with the Chicago Cardinals. He played for the St. Louis Cardinals, San Francisco 49ers and Chicago Cardinals over the course of his 10 year career.
Most people believe that 1960 was Sonny Randle's best year, as he hauled in 62 receptions, had 893 receiving yards and caught 15 TD passes.
