Some things I think are true...

The Red Sox would be crazy to give up both Clay Buchholz and Jacoby Ellsbury for Johan Santana.

The Yankees would be equally crazy to give up Melky Cabrera and Joba Chamberlain for Santana, too!

The Celtics have already acquired that killer instinct to win games with the new Big 3. They have a trait from the 1986 Championship Team that let teams think they were hanging around before throwing a thunderous 20-2 run down their throats to cinch the victory.

The Philadelphia Flyers should forget about recreating the Broad Street Bullies persona again before everyone gets suspended or they take out the entire Boston Bruins team.

The NFL should adopt a flex schedule for Monday Night Football.

Missouri vs. West Virginia, please raise your hand if you had that back in week 1. And no, that matchup for the Papa John's Bowl doesn't count.

The WWE is a better place with Chris Jericho back in it.

Madison Square Garden is still the Mecca for sports and entertainment in America.

For the first time in a long time, I don't think Hillary Clinton will get the Democratic nomination.

Who is Michael Huckabee again? Can't be all bad if the Nature Boy Ric Flair endorses you.

Why is it that everytime "That Thing You Do" is on, I have to stop and watch it?

High Fidelity is an unknown classic with John Cusak.

College basketball in Rhode Island should be fun this season with 3 legit NCAA Tournament contenders in URI, Brown and PC.

20 years from now, we may be talking about Dustin Pedroia as a legit Hall of Famer.

Jim Rice ought to be in the Hall of Fame.

"How I Met Your Mother" should be on your TIVO list every week.

High Fidelity is my favorite Cusack movie. And once you buy me a TIVO for Christmas, recording that show will be first on my list.

Orange County is Jack Black's best movie

I rank that second on my Jack Blacklist. He's so much better in supporting roles, sadly.

He is like the rapper Jadakiss, when he is a featured artist he is always the best on the track because he can shine without the pressure of holding the whole song up, his solo work suffers a lil though, same with Jack Black.

I have a really weird Jack Black story that only he would be able to confirm if it was true or not. But it is so weird.

I used to frequent a bar in North Scottsdale and I sat at a table once and there was a napkin that was written on that said "Here I am Jack Black, star of the new movie Orange County and in a bar in Scottsdale and no one recognizes me or knows who I am."

And even then I would have called him Augie... I have every reason to believe it as true, but have to "know"...

And this was before Orange County was released. I have to meet him so I can ask him if it was really him that left the note and then to ask him "WHY did you do Holiday? That movie was garbage"!

I remember when Howard Cosell said they didn't want clunkers like the Saints on Monday Night Football. ESPN was probably thinking the same thing last night when they had the winless Dolphins on last night when they could have had a real game on last night.

To be eligible for the Hall, you have to play ten seasons in the majors, which Pedroia won't. He's an overachieving utility player fortunate enough to play for a good team.

20-90 would NOT qualify as a "breakout year" - that would qualify as a worse year than what "earned" him this contract. Is he finally going to have people call him D.J. Drew instead of his fake name???

Lets see how I match with your thoughts:

The Red Sox would be crazy to give up both Clay Buchholz and Jacoby Ellsbury for Johan Santana. Agreed

The Yankees would be equally crazy to give up Melky Cabrera and Joba Chamberlain for Santana, too! Also Agreed

The Celtics have already acquired that killer instinct to win games with the new Big 3. They have a trait from the 1986 Championship Team that let teams think they were hanging around before throwing a thunderous 20-2 run down their throats to cinch the victory. Sadly Bron-Bron showed a higher killer instinct tonight, he's having an MJ-92 kinda year

The Philadelphia Flyers should forget about recreating the Broad Street Bullies persona again before everyone gets suspended or they take out the entire Boston Bruins team. I wouldn't watch NHL if I COULD find it on TV, so no comment

The NFL should adopt a flex schedule for Monday Night Football. I think they should flex every single nationally televised game, but that's just me

Missouri vs. West Virginia, please raise your hand if you had that back in week 1. And no, that matchup for the Papa John's Bowl doesn't count. Didn't have it early on and hate when people complain about the possible match-up, elitest who always want to see OU or UT take on USC or Miami or something, stuck up soap box preachers.

The WWE is a better place with Chris Jericho back in it. The WWE was a better place when it was the WWF

Madison Square Garden is still the Mecca for sports and entertainment in America. The Knicks don't tarnish that thought, the fact that the brand, arena and corporation that is MSG is ran by the Dolans puts a black mark on the brand though.

For the first time in a long time, I don't think Hillary Clinton will get the Democratic nomination. Barack (can we stop calling him Obama like it's his first name? This isn't football practice) is starting to look like he has a legimate shot. Sadly I have to put my racial allegences aside because I know that a liberal turn is the opposite of what we need, but he is better then continuing the Bush-Clinton-Bush-Clinton cycle of hell the country has been stuck in for 20 years.

Who is Michael Huckabee again? Can't be all bad if the Nature Boy Ric Flair endorses you. If your biggest Presidential backer is Ric Flair, your in more then bad shape

Why is it that everytime "That Thing You Do" is on, I have to stop and watch it? Because everytime it's on I change the channel and for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction

High Fidelity is an unknown classic with John Cusak. I try to aviod the Cusak's although this wasn't bad. Jack Black's best movie was still Orange County though

College basketball in Rhode Island should be fun this season with 3 legit NCAA Tournament contenders in URI, Brown and PC. I'm sure your right, I'll check up with you on this later, I'm busy since the City of Los Angeles has 3 as well (UCLA, USC and Loyola Marymount as the WCC dark horse)

20 years from now, we may be talking about Dustin Pedroia as a legit Hall of Famer. We might. We might be talking about Prince Fielder, Ryan Howard, Russel Martin(insert promising young star here)

Jim Rice ought to be in the Hall of Fame. agreed

"How I Met Your Mother" should be on your TIVO list every week.

Don't agree, but I don't watch a lot of primetime network TV, so if you do, this might be up your ally.

If I'm the Yankees and all the Twins want for Santana is Chamberlain and Cabrera, I make the deal like right fackin' now before the Twins change their mind. Are you kidding? A utility outfielder and my THIRD best minor league pitcher for Cy Young? Geez.

This makes more sense. Now it gets to the point where several teams could make the trade, but few would want to sacrifice so much for one pitcher, albeit a Cy Young winner. The Yankees on the other hand have no problem dealing young players for older, pricier talent.
