Solly Drake (Solomon Louis Drake) was born on October 23, 1930 in Little Rock, Arkansas. He made his Major League debut on April 17, 1956 for the Chicago Cubs. In 1956, his rookie year, he hit .256 with 2 home runs and 15 RBI. Drake played for the Chicago Cubs, Philadelphia Phillies and Los Angeles Dodgers over the course of his 2 year career.
