Sochi To Host 2014 Winter Games

I really though Pyeongchang would take it. But Sochi looks like a beautiful city.

I guess everything will be in the mountains?

This could very well be an absolute disaster. Russia's economy is going well now. However, this is based on a bull market in the area of natural resources - oil and natural gas. Seven years from now, that bull market is going to be either gone or dying. When you look at the rest of the Russian economy, it is a disaster. Corruption and lack of transparcy abound.

Hence, I can see the construction leading up to the Olympics being an all-out diaster. I mean, the costs are already being pegged to be between 10 and 12 billion dollars. If the Russian economy tanks, things are going to constructed cheaply and dangerously.

This is not a good decision.
