This is why Rugby is the great sport that it is.  I don't care if you've never seen the game, this video will get you hyped up.

Remember the World Cup kicks off on Sept 7

why bother compaing soccer and rugby, why don't you compare rugby and the NFL which I contest after playing 4 years of American Football and only a few works for rugby that rugby in the tougher sport. Even the fat guys in rugby have to run all game and they still deliver hits to scat backs at pace. There is nothing like playing a full rugby game, both ways.

I would, but its soccer that rugby has to compete with for attention on the world stage. You are correct. I played football most of my life and never had a contact related injury. Ive played rugby for the past 6 years and am constantly sore.

That's why I hate "soccer". The reasons I prefer rugby are:
  • No cheating in rugby
  • No backchat from players
  • Much less wimpy
  • Always interesting
  • Better behaved fans
  • More strategic than any other game in the world
  • Players aren't "playboys"

"No Cheating in rugby" hahah yeah youve never taken the field before. Rugby is all about cheating and knowing how to get away with it. Also there are a few playboys... Johnns Wilkenson

By "cheating" I meant diving. On an International level, no rugby player fakes an injury. Sure you get hands in the ruck, putting the ball in skew in the scrum, but you don't get the type of cheating that rubbishes your opponent. Wilkinson isn't a playboy either. He doesn't go around with gel in his hair, driving a Ferrari to parties in Monte Carlo or LA. He's nothing like the likes of a Beckham, a Ronaldo etc.

True no rugger would ever take a dive. That would be the ultimate sin on the rugby field. But thats what I meant the hands in the ruck, obstruction, feeding the scrum. Stuff like that is very common. See thats funny you say that about Wilkenson, because the perception on him is that he is a playboy and is the pretty boy of rugby.
