Snooks Dowd (Raymond Bernard Dowd) was born on December 20, 1897 in Springfield, Massachusetts. He made his Major League debut on April 27, 1919 for the Philadelphia Athletics. Dowd played for the Philadelphia Athletics and Brooklyn Robins over the course of his 2 year career.
