Snooker Wiki Tasks to be done
As per Romi's request, here is the task that requires little thought.
If you go to World Snooker Championship, you will see the page for the World Snooker Championship. Clever eh? The point is though, on that page, you will see a table with all the World Champions and winners etc. And you will see red links with all the years. That links to the page for that year. E.g. 2007 World Snooker Championship links to the 2007 World Snooker Championship page. That is true all the way back to 1927.
Now, originally, I called the pages, e.g. "2007 World Snooker Championships". That still will work as a redirect. But from 2002 -> 1927, I haven't moved them, creating the redirect. The reason is simple. I would like all the results to go into tables that are all nice and neat. E.g. 2001 World Snooker Championships could look like 2002 World Snooker Championship if it was to be shoved in a table format. Also, you need to get rid of the old annoying nationalities in brackets, and replace it with the flagicon template.
Putting everything in the right box would be ideal. One complication is the seedings. In the tournament, back until 1980ish, there were 32 players, and 16 are seeded through automatically, and 16 are through from qualifiers. Now, the 16 "seeds" should be at the first name in the box, i.e. the box on top in a matchup, not necessarily whoever wins the match. The way to ensure that happens, is by correlating that with the previous year's World Rankings. E.g. Consult the 2000 Snooker World Rankings for the order in the [[2001 World Snooker Championships. I normally do this with my own knowledge, rather than checking rankings, but if that is too complicated, just shove it in the box and I'll happily swap it around.
So, that's all that needs to be done. Do everything on the pages from 2002 -> 1927. And I can then get started on some of the other snooker tournaments this year and from all-time, I can find a database of them on there somewhere, if anybody is interested in helping. I.e. Romi!
I.e. This database!
Anybody else would be appreciated.
