Smush not expected to Return

To put it bluntly, Smush Parker's two-year tenure with the Los Angeles Lakers has basically ended.
Phil Jackson was quoted saying a few days ago, "We were very point-blank with Smush in saying, 'Hey, we know we have to go in another direction at this position. We have to get better at this position.' At this point, I would say that Smush is not someone that we are going to actively seek out to come back and play with us."
I, like many other Laker fans, are not too upset to see Smush Parker leave the team. He was never a consistent presence at the point guard position. I think he definitely deserves a spot on an NBA roster, but he should be the second or third best point guard on that particular team. Smush is an average point guard who has been ripped apart by the media for his poor performance. Instead they need to understand that Smush was just the wrong guy in the wrong role, the starting point guard for the Lakers.
It isn't his fault, it is the management's fault for putting him in a position where he would most likely fail and be under much scrutiny. Good luck Smush.
