Sky August (Edward W. August) was born on August 5, 1904 in Mahanoy City, Pennsylvania. After going to high school at Mahanoy City (PA), August attended Villanova University. August made his professional debut in the NFL in 1931 with the Providence Steam Roller. He played for the Providence Steam Roller for his entire 1 year career.
