Born on February 16, 1889 in Holyoke, Massachusetts, Skip Dowd (James Joseph Dowd) played for the Pittsburgh Pirates for his entire 1 year career. Dowd broke into the bigs on July 5, 1910 with the Pittsburgh Pirates.
