Skeeter Barnes (William Henry Barnes) was born on March 3, 1957 in Cincinnati, Ohio. He made his Major League debut on September 6, 1983 for the Cincinnati Reds. In 1991, his rookie year, he hit .289 with 5 home runs and 17 RBI. Barnes played for the Cincinnati Reds, Montreal Expos, St. Louis Cardinals and Detroit Tigers over the course of his 8 year career.

Most people believe that Skeeter Barnes's best season was 1991, when he hit for a .289 average.
