Sisto Averno (Sisto Joseph Averno) was born on May 12, 1925 in Paterson, New Jersey. After going to high school at Central (Paterson, NJ), Averno attended Muhlenberg College. Averno made his professional debut in the NFL in 1950 with the Baltimore Colts. He played for the Baltimore Colts, Dallas Cowboys and New York Yanks over the course of his 5 year career.

Most people believe that 1953 was Sisto Averno's best year.
