Simmons Out For Season

WR Tony Simmons of the British Columbia Lions will be out for the rest of the season with a torn ACL in his right knee.
Playing in his second year in the CFL, Simmons has been sidelined both years due to injury.
As a former player for the New England Patriots, Simmons was in trouble with Coach Bill Belichick throughout his career. Simmons was a member of the Patriots from 1998 through 2002, but was also assigned to the Barcelona Dragons for the 2001 season. While in New England, Simmons had 56 catches for 981 yards with 6 touchdowns.
Simmons was injured returning a kickoff on 25 June at Saskatchewan.
