Sid Youngelman (Sidney Youngelman) was born on December 1, 1931 in Newark, New Jersey. After going to high school at Abraham Lincoln (Brooklyn, NY), Youngelman attended the University of Alabama. Youngelman made his professional debut in the NFL in 1955 with the San Francisco 49ers. He played in the NFL for 5 years, playing for the Philadelphia Eagles, Cleveland Browns and San Francisco 49ers over the course of his 5 year NFL career.Youngelman also played in the AFL for 4 years, playing for the Buffalo Bills and New York Titans over the course of his 4 year AFL career.

Most people believe that 1958 was Sid Youngelman's best year.
