Sid Tinsley (Sidney Wallace Tinsley) was born on January 14, 1920 in Spartanburg, South Carolina. After going to high school at Spartanburg (SC), Tinsley attended Clemson University. Tinsley made his professional debut in the NFL in 1945 with the Pittsburgh Steelers. He played for the Pittsburgh Steelers for his entire 1 year career.
