Sid Smith (Sidney Ercil Smith) was born on July 6, 1948 in Wichita, Kansas. After going to high school at Wilson (Long Beach, CA), Smith attended the University of Southern California. Smith made his professional debut in the NFL in 1970 with the Kansas City Chiefs. He played for the Kansas City Chiefs and Houston Oilers over the course of his 4 year career.
Most people believe that 1971 was Sid Smith's best year.
