Sid Nichols (Sidney Warren Nichols) was born on April 15, 1895 in Creston, Iowa. After going to high school at West (Des Moines, IA), Nichols attended the University of Illinois. Nichols made his professional debut in the APFA in 1920 with the Rock Island Independents. He played for the Rock Island Independents for his entire 2 year career.
