Sid Fournet (Sidney Fredrick Fournet) was born on August 27, 1932 in Bogalusa, Louisiana. After going to high school at Bogalusa (LA), Fournet attended Louisiana State University. Fournet made his professional debut in the NFL in 1955 with the Los Angeles Rams. He played in the NFL for 3 years, playing for the Los Angeles Rams and Pittsburgh Steelers over the course of his 3 year NFL career.Fournet also played in the AFL for 4 years, playing for the Dallas Texans, New York Jets and New York Titans over the course of his 4 year AFL career.

Most people believe that 1956 was Sid Fournet's best year.
