Sid Blanks (Sidney Blanks) was born on April 29, 1940 in Del Rio, Texas. After going to high school at San Felipe (Del Rio, TX), Blanks attended Texas Agricultural and Mechanical University-Kingsville. Blanks made his professional debut in the AFL in 1964 with the Houston Oilers. He played in the AFL for 5 years, playing for the Houston Oilers and Boston Patriots over the course of his 5 year AFL career.Blanks also played in the NFL for 1 year, playing for the Boston Patriots the entire time.
