- Jags at Colts…ahhh, the meat of Week 3…only because the game is in Indy do I choose the Colts…these two are evenly matched but the Colts offense is predicated on the efficiency of Manning & Co., Jacksonville’s corners are good but they’re matched up against Marvin Harrison and Reggie Wayne…Colts
- Bears at Vikings…the loss of Erasmus James kills the Vikings defense, the Bears still have a great D with a burgeoning O…Bears
- Titans at Miami…Miami, but not with any confidence while Daunte Culpepper is still spraying the ball around like a lotto ball machine. I’m picking the Dolphins because they are a better grade of lousy than the woeful Titans
- Cincy at Pittsburgh…this may be the biggest game played at Heinz Field all year, the Bengals are banged up, and the prideful Steelers got shut out last week…Steelers
- Panthers at Bucs…the Bucs Chris Simms is playing, well, badly, and the offense is suffering, now they face an 0-2 Panthers team with a huge must win attitude…Panthers
- Ravens at Browns…Ravens
- Giants at Seahawks…the Giants and Eli Manning will not get another opportunity to pull out a miracle win…Seattle
- Rams at Arizona…Arizona
- Eagles at 49ers…the Eagles have got to be pissed about last weeks debacle…Eagles
- Broncos at Patriots…on the bright side, Denvers defense has yet to give up a touchdown; on the bad side, Jake Plummer and the once reliable offense are grimly bad…Pats win
- Atlanta at Saints…Atlanta looks scary good as Michael Vick matures…Falcons win
College
There is an utter dearth of compelling match ups as everyone finishes up their cake non-conference games, witness Auburn vs. Buffalo. However, I managed to scrape the barrel for a few decent games.
- Penn St at Ohio St…Ohio St. will dispatch the Nittany Lions with cold efficiency
- Arizona St. at Cal…Cal looked wretched against Tennessee but they still have Marshawn Lynch and the Sundevils look vulnerable against the run…Cal wins
- So. Cal at Arizona…the Trojans
- Notre Dame at Mich St….many of the experts were picking this as one of those classic landmine games where the heavily favored Irish would walk into a situation and not come out unscathed…the Irish got detonated last week and need to rebound…Irish win
- Colorado at Georgia…the Buffs D looks legit, the offense needs life support, Dogs win easy
- Now those of you who still wanna match wits with others can do so...just edit the page accordingly
