The 2007 Welsh Open has been another tournament filled with shocks. All the major players are out, Stephen Hendry, Mark Williams, John Higgins, Stephen Lee, Graeme Dott, Ronnie O'Sullivan, Peter Ebdon and many more top players have all been eliminated by the Semi Final stage.
It leaves four players that are all capable, if not first choice Semi Finalists. Stephen Maguire and Neil Robertson are both Ranking event winners, if not the one's you'd expect to win every tournament.
Maguire will play Andrew Higginson, who has made a 147 break in this tournament. He was on the Challenge Tour last season, and qualified to come up to the top tier of the tour.
Neil Robertson will play the aging 48 year old veteran Steve Davis. Davis has once again captured the hearts of the public as he defies age to reach the Semi Finals. He has beaten defending World Champion Graeme Dott already, and he will no doubt fancy his chances against the young Australian.
