Sherwood Fries (Sherwood Marshall Fries) was born on November 14, 1920 in Los Angeles, California. After going to high school at Fairfax (Los Angeles, CA), Fries attended Colorado State University. Fries made his professional debut in the NFL in 1943 with the Green Bay Packers. He played for the Green Bay Packers for his entire 1 year career.
