Shelly Hammonds (Shelton Cornelius Hammonds) was born on February 13, 1971 in Barnwell, South Carolina. After going to high school at Barnwell (SC), Hammonds attended Pennsylvania State University. Hammonds made his professional debut in the NFL in 1995 with the Minnesota Vikings. He played for the Minnesota Vikings for his entire 1 year career.
