Sheets Strong in Rehab, Ready to Return

Milwaukee Brewers right-hander Ben Sheets pitched 6 1/3 innings to help the Brewers Triple-A affiliate Nashville Sounds to a 3-1 victory on Wednesday night. He gave up only one run on three hits and faced the minimum of 15 batters over his final five innings while striking out four before leaving the game after he felt a blister developing on his finger.
Reports on Wednesday night said the Brewers were waiting to see how Sheets felt the next day before making a final decision to bring him back up, but as of right now, he is penciled in to make his return on July 24 against Zach Duke and the Pirates.
The Brewers also got Tomo Ohka back from the disabled list this past week. Ohka pitched effectively in his first outing, limiting the Giants to two runs over five innings but took a no decision after the bullpen let the lead slip away.
