Shaun Alexander Out 2-3 Weeks

5
Vote

ESPN has confirmed that 2006 MVP Shaun Alexander has a cracked bone in his left foot, and will miss next weeks game against the Chicago Bears.

Coach Mike Holmgren doesn't expect the injury to be lengthy, but Alexander's status for the October 15th game versus St. Louis is uncertain.

Maurice Morris will start at RB, and fullback Mack Strong will play an increased role next Sunday against the Bears.

Shaun Alexander is the latest in a string of players featured on the cover of EA Sports Madden series to suffer a significant injury within the last 5 years including Daunte Culpepper, Marshall Faulk, Michael Vick, Ray Lewis, and Donovan McNabb.
