Shane Monahan (Shane Hartland Monahan) was born on August 12, 1974 in Syosset, New York. He made his Major League debut on July 9, 1998 for the Seattle Mariners. In 1998, his rookie year, he hit .242 with 4 home runs and 28 RBI. Monahan played for the Seattle Mariners for his entire 2 year career.
