Shane Matthews (Michael Shane Matthews) was born on June 1, 1970 in Pascagoula, Mississippi. After going to high school at Pascagoula (MS), Matthews attended the University of Florida. Matthews made his professional debut in the NFL in 1996 with the Chicago Bears. He has played for the Chicago Bears, Miami Dolphins, Washington Redskins and Buffalo Bills over the course of his 7 year career.
