Shag Shaughnessy (Francis Joseph Shaughnessy) was born on April 8, 1883 in Amboy, Illinois. He made his Major League debut on April 17, 1905 for the Washington Senators. Shaughnessy played for the Washington Senators and Philadelphia Athletics over the course of his 2 year career.
