except for the fact that the team is under contract to seattle for a few more years and the buying party said they have no interest in moving the team and the hornets are still tied to OK city.

hornets still tied but only until NO is back; buying party is going to say that to not alienate the seattle fans. In a few years the hornets will be out of OK city, opening the door for the sonics.

I'll bet they end up in Las Vegas before they move to OKC

I'll post my opinion later with more information (I live in Seattle), but no one here expects them to stay because there's no chance the city and team come to a mutually agreeable deal. The OK owners are committed to "trying out" Seattle for a year. I'd say 90% they're in OK City in five years.

Why do they have to move to OK? Since the Hornets are there for the time being, I feel that a move to Vegas - or perhaps to San Deigo or Pittsburgh (if the propsed arena for the Pens gets built) is just as likely.

why is st. louis never mentioned as a possible basketball city, they have strong NFL, MLB and NHL teams?
