Jarrod Washburn (W, 4-7) won his second game against his former team giving up 1 run through 6 innings as the Mariners won 4-1. Kelvim Escobar (L, 5-7) threw a solid 8 innings for the hometown Angels, giving up 2 earned runs, but a Vladimir Guerrero error in the 4th allowed 2 unearned runs to score. Raul Ibanez hit his 11th home run of the year and Ichiro Suzuki tallied 2 hits to drive Seattle's offense, while Orlando Cabrera continued his streak of games reaching base to 39 for the Angels.
