Richie Sexson smacked a grand slam in the 5th and Ichiro Suzuki passed the century hit mark on the year as Seattle blew past the Angels for thier 2nd win in a row. Both teams had 16 hits on the night, but Seattle was able to put them together more effectively - Los Angeles left 12 men on base. Gil Meche (W, 6-4) lasted only 5 innings, giving up 2 runs, but the bullpen combination of Emiliano Fruto, Julio Mateo, and Eddie Guardado were able to keep the Angels in check. John Lackey (L, 4-4) took the loss for the Angels, giving up 8 runs in 4 2/3 innings. Other than Sexson, who had 4 RBI for Seattle, Ichiro went 3-6 with 3 RBI and Kenji Johjima went 3-5. Highlights for the Angels include 2 home runs by Mike Napoli, his first multiple HR game of his career, and 3 hit games by Figgins and Adam Kennedy. Orlando Cabrera managed to keep his string of games reaching base going with a walk in the 2nd, even though he went 0-4.
