Seattle Keeps Shaun Alexander

Shaun Alexander, who last year set an NFL record for most touchdowns in a season, is staying with the NFC champion Seattle Seahawks, according to FoxSports. Alexander is to sign an eight year, $62 million pact that gives him an outrageous $15 million signing bonus.

that's a long time... but I doubt he'll stick around that long (Seahawks will cut or release him before this deal expires)

$15 million is far from outrageous. In fact it was considerably less then he was hoping for, but the market for RB is saturated and remains one of the easier positions to replenish through the draft.

If MVP stands for Most Vane Prick, then this guy should get it every year. He is a great match for Seattle because they have no real identity, no superstars, a boring walrus for a head coach, and a QB whose talent and personality rival my pet rock. (I guess that having a pet rock may take some of the sting out of my comments . . . but at least they are honest.)
