Sean Landeta (Sean Edward Landeta) was born on January 6, 1962 in Baltimore, Maryland. After going to high school at Loch Raven (Towson, MD), Landeta attended Towson University. Landeta made his professional debut in the NFL in 1985 with the New York Giants. He played for the New York Giants, Philadelphia Eagles, St. Louis Rams, Los Angeles Rams, Green Bay Packers and Tampa Bay Buccaneers over the course of his 21 year career.

Most people believe that 1998 was Sean Landeta's best year, as he dropped 30 punts inside the 20 and had a 42.9 yard punt average.
